Adonis Rose Live at Jazz Ascona: The Music of Gregg HillLive at Jazz Ascona Record Release Celebrate the release of Adonis Rose Live at Jazz Ascona: The Music of Gregg Hill , the new album from Grammy Award-winning drummer Adonis Rose, with a special performance at Snug Harbor featuring acclaimed New Orleans vocalist Phillip Manuel. Recorded at Switzerland's historic Jazz Ascona festival, the album marks the first official live recording in the festival's more than 40-year history. Released on Cold Plunge Records, the project features compositions by Gregg Hill, lyrics by Phillip Manuel, and arrangements by Rex Gregory. A celebrated voice in New Orleans music, Phillip Manuel brings his signature soulful sound and remarkable versatility to the stage. Throughout his career, he has performed and recorded with jazz greats including Terence Blanchard, Nicholas Payton, Ellis Marsalis, Jon Hendricks, Fats Domino, Dr. John, the Meters, and Allen Toussaint. Blending the rich traditions of jazz, R&B, and gospel, Manuel joins Adonis Rose for a special evening celebrating this landmark live recording and the enduring spirit of New Orleans music. In order to preserve the integrity, quiet and focus of our world class intimate concerts, only the charcuterie, cocktails and soft drinks are available for table service inside the Music Room. However, we encourage you to arrive at least 90 Minutes prior to your showtime in order to enjoy full, relaxing dinner service in the Dining Room right next door, before getting seated in the Music Room for your ticketed showtime.
