About Sheffield International Concert Season 2026/27 - Halle Orchestra

Sheffield International Concert Season 2026/27 - Halle Orchestra at Sheffield City Hall Oval Hall in Sheffield. Friday, October 23, 2026 at 19:00 local time.

Rachmaninov's brooding Third Symphony, written whilst in exile in Switzerland, yearns for the Russian's composer's lost homeland. Fleeting and fantastical, Colin Matthews' luminous orchestrations bring Ravel's enchanting miniature worlds to life; glimpse of wintry city ravaged by the winds of change, a shimmering dreamscape and a merry Christmas scene.
