Mumford & Sons came together in late 2007 in the West London acoustic and folk-revival scene that also produced Laura Marling, Noah and the Whale, and Johnny Flynn — a loose collective of musicians playing weekly nights at the Bosun's Locker on the King's Road and the Old Queen's Head in Islington.
