Hot Fuss was released in June 2004 and changed the band's life: Somebody Told Me, Mr. Brightside, Smile Like You Mean It, and All These Things That I've Done turned the album into a slow-burning global breakout that has now sold more than 7 million copies in the US alone and topped 10 million worldwide, winning the NME Award for Best International Band and earning the band Grammy nominations for Best Rock Album and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group.
