Wedding DJ Booking — Live Bands & Solo Artists
If you’re planning a South Asian wedding, your DJ is the single biggest lever on dance-floor energy across the entire wedding week — sangeet, reception, after-party, the lot. We book Punjabi-leaning open-format DJs who can swing between Diljit, AP Dhillon, classic Bhangra, modern Bollywood, hip-hop, and house without losing the room, plus dedicated EDM and club DJs for non-wedding contexts. Optional dhol players, bilingual emcees, and full production rigs (line array sound, intelligent lighting, LED dance floor) bundle in one quote. Quotes back within 24 hours.
DJ booking FAQs
What styles of DJ do you book?▼
Punjabi (Bhangra-heavy, modern Punjabi pop, classic Punjabi old-school), Bollywood (Hindi pop, retro Bollywood, item-track-driven), EDM and house (festival-style and club-style), and open-format (a DJ who can swing between Punjabi, Bollywood, Hindi, Latin, hip-hop, and house in a single night). For weddings, open-format with Punjabi/Bollywood fluency is usually the safest pick.
Should I book a DJ or a live band for my wedding?▼
DJs cost less, can play recognisable original recordings, and adapt to crowd energy in real time. Live bands feel premium and are great for cocktail-hour sets and feature reception songs, but they can't out-bang a peak-hour Punjabi DJ set on the dance floor. The most common upgrade we book is a DJ for the night, with a live singer for two or three feature reception moments.
Can you add a dhol player or emcee to the booking?▼
Yes — both are common bundle add-ons. A dhol player at baraat entry and during peak dance-floor moments is one of the highest ROI line items in a South Asian wedding. Bilingual emcees (English + Punjabi or English + Hindi) keep run-of-show smooth without sounding stiff. Just tick the option in your message and we'll quote them together.
How far in advance should I book a wedding DJ?▼
Peak South Asian wedding season (May through October), plus Diwali and NYE weekends, top-tier Punjabi DJs in major metros lock 4–6 months ahead. Off-season weekends usually open up 6–8 weeks out. Same-week is doable for solid mid-tier DJs if availability allows.
Do you provide sound, lighting, and LED add-ons?▼
Yes — most of our DJ bookings can be bundled with a production package: line array sound for rooms over 200 guests, intelligent lighting, uplighting, LED dance floor, dance-on-clouds smoke. Tell us the venue and guest count and we'll spec the right rig.
