Everything you should know before you book
At 828 metres, the Burj Khalifa is the single experience visitors fly to Dubai for. Tickets come in roughly five tiers — and which one you pick changes both the view and how long you'll queue.
The most popular option is Levels 124 & 125 ($52–$61): two adjacent decks with a 360° outdoor terrace on 124 and an enclosed observation lounge on 125. Add the 148 SKY upgrade ($124+) to skip the line, ride a private lift to the tallest observation deck on Earth (555m), and get a guided welcome with refreshments. The brand-new Level 152–154 Lounges are the highest restaurants in the world — bookable as a tasting menu or sunset cocktails.
Time of day matters more than the floor. Roughly 70% of bookings are for the 30 minutes before sunset; expect 15–20 minute waits even with a timed ticket. Morning slots (10am–12pm) are the cheapest, almost empty, and the desert haze is usually clearest. Pick a sunset slot only if you specifically want the city-lights view — otherwise you're paying a 30% premium for the line.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Floor 124, 125, and 148?
Floors 124 + 125 are sold as one combined ticket — 124 has a 360° outdoor observation terrace, 125 is an enclosed lounge with telescopes. Floor 148 (At the Top SKY) is a separate level at 555m, accessed by a private express lift with a guided welcome and refreshments. Floor 152–154 are restaurant lounges, not open observation decks.
Do I really need to skip the line?
Yes if you're visiting at sunset or on a weekend. Even with a timed ticket, the security queue at peak hours runs 30–45 minutes. The Floor 148 SKY package includes priority lift access and cuts the wait to under 10 minutes — usually worth the upgrade.
Can I rebook if the weather is bad?
Yes. All tickets are fully refundable up to 24 hours before your timed slot. Sandstorms and low-cloud days happen most often in March and August — check visibility on the Burj Khalifa's live webcam before you head over.
Are children free?
Children under 4 enter free. Ages 4–12 get a discounted ticket (around 30% off adult). Every variant we sell honors this — the per-ticket page shows the child price at checkout.
Is the dinner-at-the-top option worth it?
The Atmosphere restaurant on Floor 122 and the new Floor 152 lounge are both bookable through us. Both are pricier than the equivalent meal at ground level (you're paying for the view), but the Floor 152 lounge is genuinely unique — it's the highest restaurant in the world. Reserve the window-side tables 2–3 weeks ahead.
