Concerts Tonight in Vancouver

Events in Vancouver today

The fastest way to see what is on in Vancouver tonight is to check the live event listings on this page, which pull tonight’s concerts, comedy, sports and theatre by date. Ticketmaster, the Commodore’s own calendar, Live Nation Western Canada and the Georgia Straight Listings page are the four standard cross-references for any local.

Weeknight programming is lighter than weekends but rarely empty. The Yuk Yuk’s comedy club in the West End runs Wednesday through Sunday, Blue Mondays at Guilt and Co. in Gastown have been a fixture for years, and DJ residencies at Celebrities, Twelve West and the Roxy fire up after 10 p.m. on Granville.

Weekday touring shows usually post a 7 p.m. door and an 8 p.m. start, which is early by North American standards and lets the city’s transit-dependent crowd catch the last SkyTrain home around 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights run later, with the Granville Strip clubs open until 3 a.m. and late-night food carts and ramen shops on Robson keeping the post-show traffic fed.

If you are downtown without a plan, walking south on Granville Street from Robson to Davie passes most of the city’s late-night options inside fifteen minutes, and a single SkyTrain ride from Stadium-Chinatown reaches almost every other major event location in the central city.
