Sonu Nigam was born on July 30, 1973 in Faridabad, Haryana into a household of working musicians — his father Agam Kumar Nigam and his mother Shobha Nigam were both performing artists, and Sonu made his first stage appearance at age four singing Mohammed Rafi's Kya Hua Tera Vaada alongside his father.
